Split costs into three groups

• Per-head buffet: equal among those who ate the buffet.
• Add-ons: premium meat, seafood, dessert — only those who ordered.
• Drinks: soft drinks, beer — only those who drank.

When people arrive late

If the buffet is a flat per-head price, an equal split still applies since it is not time-based.

If someone ate only half and left, the group may agree to charge them less — a group agreement, not a fixed rule.

Example for 4 people

Buffet 299 × 4 = 1,196; everyone pays 299.

Extra wagyu 500 for the 2 who ordered → 250 each.

Beer 600 for the 2 who drank → 300 each.

Those who had both wagyu and beer pay the most; buffet-only people pay just 299.

Why not split everything equally

Dividing the 2,296 total by 4 is 574 each, making buffet-only people pay almost as much as the big spenders — unfair.

Itemizing means everyone pays for what they consumed and avoids resentment.

Check the example before collecting money

Suppose A and B shared the wagyu, while B and C drank the beer. Before tax, A owes 549 THB, B 849 THB, C 599 THB and D 299 THB. These amounts add back to 2,296 THB.

If A paid the whole receipt, B transfers 849 THB, C 599 THB and D 299 THB to A. A receives 1,747 THB back and ultimately bears their own 549 THB share.

If the receipt includes a discount, service charge or VAT, add it according to the receipt and reconcile the final total again. The 2,296 THB example is a pre-tax amount.
